RESIDENTS are invited to a free hustings event in Wokingham.
The audience will be able to hear candidates speak about how they will represent the borough if elected in next month’s General Election.
Opening and closing statements from each of the candidates will be given, and a range of questions will be put to them.
On arrival, people will be invited to write down what they would like to ask the candidates.
And at 7.30pm a selection of these questions representing a variety of topics will be chosen and put to the panel.
Lynn Green, General Secretary of the Baptist Union of Great Britain will chair the event.
All five candidates have been invited, and the event organisers are hoping for a good turnout..
Organised by Wokingham Churches Together, the hustings will be held at All Saints Church, Norreys, on Wednesday, June 26.
Doors open at 7pm, with questions at 7.30pm.
It is free to attend, and people can just turn up.
Refreshments will be available.
