EMMA HARRIES made a significant impact from the bench to help Reading Women rescue a point against Brighton.
The Royals found themselves two goals behind after 13 minutes from a Veatriki Sarri double, but Harries netted a brace of her own in the second-half to rescue a 2-2 draw.
The point puts the Royals four points above the relegation zone after bottom side Leicester City were thumped 5-0 by Aston Villa.
GRACE MOLONEY 8: Made a vitally important save with the score at 2-0 to prevent Veatriki Sarri from getting her hat-trick and a goal that would have inevitably given the visitors three points.
EASTHER MAYI-KITH 7: The most composed of any of Reading’s defenders. Used her pace to get the side out of trouble on a couple of occasions and grew in confidence after a shaky start.
GEMMA EVANS 5: A disappointing display and not strong enough at the back to stop Reading conceding two early goals and was withdrawn at half-time as Kelly Chambers changed the shape.
EMMA MUKANDI 6.5: Played a nice long ball which Emma Harries latched onto to get Reading back into the contest early in the second-half. Almost made to pay when she lost the ball in her own box, but wasn’t punished.
FAYE BRYSON 7: Tested the gloves of Lydia Williams with a powerful strike after some nice combination play on the right and covered well at the back.
LILY WOODHAM 8: Put in several excellent corner deliveries and her crossing finally paid off when her whipped ball was nodded in by Emma Harries.
JADE MOORE 6: Worked hard with some industrious battling in the middle, but was sometimes slightly astray with her passing.
RACHEL ROWE 7: had a good opportunity with a free-kick but missed the target in the first-half. Showed some superb footwork in the second-half and stayed composed to build attacks.
AMALIE EIKELAND 6: Battled hard to help Reading get back in the game and won some free-kicks in profitable positions.
SANNE TROELSGAARD 8: An impressive performance from the Danish international who carried the ball forward with purpose and caused Brighton plenty of problems on the right wing.
CHARLIE WELLINGS 6: Wasn’t able to forge too many chances or have many attempts at goal as she was marshalled well by Leicester, but had a stronger second-half.
EMMA HARRIES 9: Player of the match display from the forward who came on from the bench and made an immediate impact with a coolly composed finish before heading in the equaliser.
