ONE person was taken to hospital following a fire at a home in Winnersh on Tuesday night.
The emergency services were called out to an address in Harefield Close just after 9pm following reports a shed was ablaze.
A pump from Wokingham Road and Whitley Wood fire stations attended the incident and discovered, upon arrival, the fire had spread to nearby Conifer trees.
They used breathing apparatus and two hose reels to douse the flames, spending 40 minutes at the property.
Also in attendance were officers from Thames Valley Police.
An ambulance crew, Rapid Response Vehicle and ambulance officer were dispatched to the incident. They were needed to treat one patient, who was transferred to Royal Berkshire Hospital.
The extent of the person’s injuries are not yet known, while the cause of the fire remains undisclosed at this time.
