Police have launched an urgent appeal to trace a man wanted in connection with a serious hit-and-run collision that left a child with life-changing injuries.
Thames Valley Police said officers are searching for 33-year-old Matthew Haylett following the crash on Wednesday evening.
The child, who has not been named, remains in hospital with serious injuries.
Mr Haylett is alleged to have failed to stop at the scene of the collision. Police said he may also be using another name and has previously gone by Matthew Harris.
He is described as a white man with black hair and a black beard. Officers said he was last seen wearing a baseball cap and dark clothing.
Investigating officer Sgt Matt Cadmore urged the public to come forward with any information.
“We’re urging anyone with any information about Matthew’s whereabouts to please come forward and speak to us,” he said.
“No matter how small, every detail might help us to locate him.”
