GLASSES will be raised for the return of a popular fundraising event … and there’s no surprise as it involves wine.
The Wokingham Wine Festival helps raise funds for the Reading and Wokingham branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society and features a range of interesting, unusual and rare wines from all corners of the world.
Taking place in the town hall in Market Place on Sunday, December 8, the event is organised by the Windsor Forest Unicorn Club, ASDW (Association of Small Direct Wine merchants) and Wokingham Round Table.
There will be at least eight knowledgeable and independent wine merchants at the festival.
Each offers tastings of wines and a chance to stock up before the festive season gets underway.
New for this year will be Wokingham’s boutique bar Sit and Sip with their exciting range of artisan beers and spirits.
