Reading FC’s new owner Rob Couhig has vowed that he will invite two lucky fans, and a guest each, to join him in the owner’s box to watch the opening game of the season.

With season tickets for the Royals now on sale for the upcoming season, there is a renewed sense of optimism and excitement among the fanbase.

Noel Hunt’s side finished just one place outside the play-offs in the 2024/25 campaign despite all the off-field distractions of the ownership saga.

With that chapter finally resolved and with Reading being able to operate in the transfer market for the first time in several years, there is hope that they will be able to push for promotion back to the Championship.

Taking to X, Rob Couhig said: “Season tickets are going great. On June 7, I will draw two names: one from last season’s holders and one from the new.

“Each with a guest will be invited to join us in the owner’s box at our first league home game to represent this year’s. Up the Ding!.”
