Reading FC defender Tyler Bindon looks poised to complete a move to Premier League Nottingham Forest on transfer deadline day.
The Royals defender has been subject to transfer interest all month from several teams, but it appears that Forest will win the race for his signature.
As part of the deal, Reading are hoping to bring the player back to the club on loan until the end of the season.
With Bindon’s current contract at Reading set to expire at the end of the season, this window represents the last chance for the club to receive a transfer fee for the player.
The 20-year-old centre-back has won plenty of admirers since bursting onto the scene in the Reading first-team.
The Royals signed him on a free transfer from Los Angeles in 2023. Original plans from the club were to integrate Bindon as part of the under 21s squad, however his superb performances in the EFL Trophy won him a place in the starting eleven for League One matches under Ruben Selles.
He made a total of 40 League One appearances last campaign and scored twice as the Royals survived relegation
Bindon’s excellent performances have continued throughout this season and he has made a total of 28 League One appearances to help Reading in 8th place, just outside the play-off places.
