Reading FC defender Kelvin Abrefa has signed a new two-year deal with the club.
The 20-year-old suffered with injury problems for large parts of last season, but did manage to feature towards the business end of the campaign as the Royals survived relegation from League One.
He made a total of 13 senior appearances for Ruben Selles’ side last campaign, which included 11 League One games, one EFL Cup and one EFL Trophy outing.
He also played eight times for Noel Hunt’s U21s side in Premier League 2.
Head of football operations Mark Bowen said: We’re delighted to secure Kelvin to a new two-year contract. There was, understandably, plenty of external interest in him so we’re very happy that Kelvin’s chosen to continue his development as a Reading player.”
