THE FIRST Record Store Day in Wokingham’s town centre went straight in at number one.
People were queuing round the block to get their hands on some limited-edition vinyl released exclusively on Saturday, April 13.
New Peach Place store Beyond The Download was top of the pops for record collectors, with some queueing up overnight to ensure they got their hands on the special discs.
And the queues stayed constant throughout the day as the shop’s team, headed up by Ian Biles, struggled to keep up with demand.
There were special live performances from local bands Doops, Roves and Valeras.
It wasn’t the only special event for the store, which is based in Rose Street.
Earlier this month, Circa Waves performed a set to an appreciative audience.
