The latest figures from the Office for National Statistics has revealed that the average house price in Wokingham stood at £503,000 in December 2025, up by 2.7% during the previous twelve months.
Private rents in Wokingham rose to an average of £1,487, an annual increase of 5.7% from £1,407 in the previous year..
Across the South East, the average monthly rent was £1,405, up from £1,356 a year earlier.
Across the UK as a whole, average rents in January 2026 were £1,367, which was up from £1,321 in January 2025.
In Wokingham, the average rent for terraced properties and flats or maisonettes rose by 6%, while for detached properties, it increased by 4.9%.

The average price paid by first-time buyers was £395,000 in December 2025, while for homes bought with a mortgage, the average house price was £514,000.
The average price of a home bought with a mortgage in Wokingham was £514,000 in December 2025. This was higher than an average of £500,000 in December 2024.
Across the South East, the average price of a home bought with a mortgage was £383,000, in line with £381,000 a year earlier.
Across the country, the average price for buying with a mortgage in December 2025 was £280,000, which was up from an average of £273,000 in December 2024.
