JOHN RIMMER took six wickets to top the borough’s honours board in the first week of the 2018 cricket season.
The Wargrave 2s bowler posted impressive figures of 6-6 to help his side defeat Sonning 2s by nine wickets in Thames Valley Division 5b.
Another bowler to stand out was Nirav Upadhyay, who took five wickets in Crowthorne and Crown Wood’s draw with Stratfield Turgis/Hartley Wespall.
As for the batting, three players posted centuries over the last week.
Steve Jeffrey of Binfield 2s led the way with his unbeaten 112 in victory over Finchampstead 4s while Binfield first team star Wynand Lamprecht knocked 110 against White Waltham.
Heather Knight of Berkshire Women rounds off the top three with her 105 against Wales.
Special mention also goes to Dan Lincoln, who features three times for his batting exploits at both club and county level.
