Andrea Maria admits to having a rather unusual passion. She likes to grunt.
It has to be a good grunt, not a teenie tiny one. And fans can expect to hear a special Andrea grunt or two when she appears with one of the country’s most popular live acts on the blues circuit, Blue Touch.
Andrea has several other passions: “I like boots and shoes and horses,” she adds.
“In fact, you could say that I have four love affairs in life, horses, music, men and cars. I have a thing, a rather strange desire for a pimped up Range Rover and chunky fast Audis.
“I have three beautiful horses, one fast car at the moment and a love for rock and blues and men who know their cars or play guitars.”
On stage with Blue Touch, Andrea is known for being rather saucy and a great entertainer. If you can take her on a date wearing a saddle, singing, give her a gift of new boots and smell of grease – it could be the perfect evening.
Never shy to break away from the formulaic or cliché, Blue Touch are less about a Texas shuffle or waking up this morning and more about getting out, having a good time and enjoying what you do.
They have been in existence in a number of guises since 2001 but this line up the one that brings together all the elements needed to ensure they maintain their reputation as one of the top live acts on the blues circuit playing at many festivals and clubs over the years.
It all promises to be a fast and furious show.
But just so no one gets the wrong idea, Andrea is also romantic.
“Love songs always make me cry and a driving beat and rhythm always turns me on. My greatest achievement in life is my beautiful daughter.”
There must be a song in that.
Blue Touch will perform at Wokingham Festival on Sunday at 2.30pm on the Trademark Music Stage
