A LOWER EARLEY pub reopened last Saturday after a stunning makeover.
The Seven Red Roses, in Maiden Place shopping centre, has been given a new look with the intent of making the pub more family – and dog – friendly.
Alongside the new menu, the pub has new floors, carpets, wallpapers and furniture.
After a week-long closure the pub reopened with a VIP night for regulars, who could enjoy a free glass of fizz, tasters from the menu and some acoustic music.
New manager Nilufer Arpacik said she wanted to create a relaxing oasis in Lower Earley.
She said: “We’re already popular for our sports with Sky, BT Sports, three large TVs and lovely big HD screens dotted about the place but community pubs like the Seven Red Roses should be as inviting to wives and kids too, and the look is going to make that happen.
“For the first time we’ve put a dedicated kids menu on alongside smaller portions of my personal favourite, the Sunday lunch which I promise to make a must visit occasion at weekends.”
And joining the line-up on the pumps there are local ales from Loddon Brewery while cocktails have been added to the menu.
