MEMBERS of a borough fitness club held a coffee morning in Wokingham to raise money for charity.
A full hall of keep fit enthusiasts worked out to music with SimplyFit Berkshire teacher Melissa Buckle.
At the end of their routine, the perfect reward for a high intensity exercise class was, of course, coffee and cake.
Members of Wokingam, Finchampstead, Winnersh, Twyford and Barkham classes gathered together in St Paul’s parish rooms to enjoy refreshments for a good cause.
Sue Morris, one of the exercisers, said: “I’ve been coming for 25 years.
“I particularly enjoy the hit classes which are good, and the floor work.
“They are all lovely people here, and all ages.
“I definitely feel the benefit of regular exercise.”

Proceeds from the event went to Macmillan Cancer Support, with the group raising £965.55 through donations and raffles on the day.
SimplyFit’s Melissa Buckle said: “A very big thank you to those who came along, helped to set up and clear away, and bought and sold raffle tickets.
She also thanked the group for raffle tickets and for emptying their pockets to give.
“This sort of community spirit makes the club something special,” she said.
The coffee morning took place on Friday, September 29.
