A FAMILY run garden centre has announced that it will be stepping in to premises previously occupied by Dobbies Hare Hatch Garden Centre, Twyford.
Squires Garden Centres says that the move will safeguard jobs and secure the future of the site.
Sarah Squire, Chairman of Squire’s Garden Centres, said: “We are excited to be opening at Hare Hatch in the second half of February.
“We’re looking forward to getting to know the garden centre team and working with them, as well as building relationships with the local community.
“Our number one priority is getting the centre up and running and we look forward to bringing our new customers our wonderful selection of plants – many of which are home grown and from our own nurseries – as we head into the exciting spring season.
“We are working on this as quickly as we can and hope to announce an opening date very soon.”
Established in 1936, Squire’s is a family business, with three generations now enjoying working together – Colin Squire OBE. (Chairman Emeritus), his daughter, Sarah Squire (Chairman) and granddaughter, Felicia Baily.
Now with 17 garden centres, Hare Hatch will be Squire’s second site in Berkshire, alongside Squire’s Wokingham.
Sarah continued: “It will be business as usual at the site for the garden centre and Café Bar when we open, with the centre’s soft play – which is currently closed – re-opening as soon as practically possible.”
Squire’s Garden Centres provides quality plants and gardening products, as well a range of garden furniture, barbecues and gifts – and says that above all, it aims to offer customers a truly enjoyable garden centre experience.
