A WOKINGHAM fast food outlet closed for repairs following crash damage to its frontage has reopened after two years.
Anyone suffering from fry day withdrawal will be pleased to hear that Wokingham’s Station Fish Bar is back in business.
The timing was certainly fortunate for Tan House bridge work teams, who spent all day preparing the construction at Wokingham railway crossing, and were able to step inside for fish and chip meals.
Cindy, manager of Station Fish Bar, said: “We reopened on Wednesday, and a lot of our regular customers have already started to come back, which is really helpful.
“We were a bit nervous about opening, as we needed to reorganise everything after two years of closure, but Wokingham is a very friendly town.
“We were closed for two years and it has been really tough, but our customers have welcomed us back, and we’re very happy to be able to open up again.”
It was in February 2022 that a white Subaru came to a halt inside the shop, having smashed through its front doors.
No one was hurt, but the shop was unusable and has been closed until now.
