The excitement of the Emirates FA Cup comes to Wokingham this weekend when Wokingham & Emmbrook Football Club takes on Cinderford Town in the Extra Preliminary Round of this season’s competition.
This will be the Sumas’ first home match in the national knockout competition for more than 10 years, and only its eighth match in the competition ever since the club was formed in 2004 by a merger of Wokingham Town and Emmbrook Sports.
Sunday’s match against the Gloucestershire opponents also marks the first competitive match of the season at Lowther Road.
The club is hoping to attract a record attendance for a match at its Lowther Road home. The record currently stands at around 400 and was set more than ten years ago.
A home tie against Binfield in the Preliminary Road awaits the winners of Sunday’s tie.
Kick-off at Lowther Road is 3pm. Admission is £8 for adults and £4 for concessions.
