A CHARVIL-BASED choir for women and girls will be having an open rehearsal.
The Project Singers are inviting people to come along and listen.
There will also be performances by some of the musical director, Suzanne Newman’s, singing pupils.
The open rehearsal takes place at early tea time, with visitors to the afternoon of songs able to enjoy home-made cakes.
The Project Singers is a ladies choir, but also has a section for girls between the ages of 10 and 18.
The group is also recruiting for its Spring project, titled And Wherever You Go.
Songs for this project will have a travel related theme.
Music will include Homeward Bound, Route 66, The Water Is Wide, Journey To The Past and Beyond The Sea.
The choir will be preparing for classes at Woodley and Cheltenham Music Festivals, and there will be a concert on Saturday, March 25 at St Mary’s Church, Twyford.
Rehearsals take place at Charvil Village Hall.
The ladies’ choir meets on Mondays at 8pm, while the girls’ choir meets on Sundays at 6.15pm.
Girls and women who love singing, and who are enthusiastic and committed, are invite to apply.
The choir’s open rehearsal, which it is calling Songs For A Sunday Afternoon, takes place on Sunday, October 16.
Doors open at Charvil Village Hall at 5pm.
The event is free, but a collection will be taken for The Teenage Cancer Trust.
