At the top of Division One, Sonning Common & Peppard A dropped two points as they visited Tilehurst RBL A.
Encouraged by his win over Jason Roberts, Keith Winter teamed up with Jon Willis to take the doubles for a 2-8 result as Ed Lush and Gary Morgan completed maximums for the visitors.
Kingfisher A capitalised with a 10-0 drubbing of their D team as Martin Adams, Hari Gehlot and Ross Saxby remained unbeaten with only the doubles going unexpectedly close.
Third placed Kingfisher B only dropped three ends as they hosted Sonning Common and Peppard D, but unfortunately for them they were all in the same encounter as Julian Telford lost out to Simon Berry in five sets 3-11 11-8 11-8 6-11 10-12.
The rest was plain sailing for Graham Mendick and Prayrit Ahluwalia to complete the 9-1 victory.
In their mid-table clash Tidmarsh hosted Kingfisher C and unsurprisingly it ended in a 5-5 draw. It was Nigel Keedy who shone for the visitors taking out Dale Ballard, Antony Baker and debutant Rob McMillan.
However Rob made an excellent start to Division One, beating the more experienced Alan Cummings and Matt Isherwood. Sonning Common & Peppard C eased their relegation worries with an 8-2 win over their B team, who stay in the bottom two. Danny Dockree and Jon Abbott inflicted most
of the damage.
Division Two league leaders Reading FC beat relegation threatened Pangbourne WMC 10-0 with Simon Rowland recording his fourth maximum in a row.
Second placed Kingfisher F had a hard fought 6-4 win against Tilehurst RBL B with Kate Maksimenko getting a maximum for Tilehurst.
In their second match of the week Pangbourne WMC lost 6-4 at Kingfisher G with Parvin Baishkyar getting a maximum for Kingfisher, the set of the night saw Ajay Yesi recover from two games down to beat John Simmonds 11-8 in the fifth.
Kingfisher E won 6-4 at Tidmarsh C in a match which saw a number of long close sets, the pick of these saw Tidmarsh’s Ian Wu beat Neil Dellar 14-12 in the fifth after losing the first two games.
Tidmarsh B won 6-4 at Springfield A in a match which saw every player win at least once, while bottom team Kingfisher H lost yet another match 10-0 which allowed the winners Our Lady of Peace A to move up to third in the table.
Division Three title contenders Our Lady of Peace C hosted Kingfisher I which was crucial for the title race.
OLOP won the match 6-4 and closed the three point gap to just one point leaving Kingfisher looking nervously over their shoulders as they have been leaders for a long time.
Four games including the doubles went to the fifth set and the home team won 3 of them.
The Binit Bhaskar versus Eyup Odemis match was thrilling as Binit did a good job coming from 0-2 down to level at 2-2 but in the fifth Eyup won the match 11-9 11-8 6-11 5-11 12-10.
Sonning Common and Peppard E lost to last weeks good performing team Our Lady of Peace B 4-6. Jacek Piechocki had another treble and to continue his perfect run. Jacek’s impeccable performance and winning doubles were the main factors of the win for the away team.
