A SHINFIELD teenager has been charged for a string of offences in a Lower Earley park earlier this year.
The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is accused of one count of criminal damage to a vehicle, one count of assault by beating, one count of theft from a shop and one count of possession of an offensive weapon.
Thecharges follow an investigation by Thames Valley Police investigation after an 18-year-old man was alleged to have been assaulted and allegee to have had his car damaged as he tried to leave Chalfont Park around 7pm on Tuesday, March 17.
The 17-year-old is due to appear at Reading Youth Court on Wednesday, October 10.
In a statement, Thames Valley Police said that no further action would be taken into the allegation of robbery during the incident.
