Kyros – Liminal Space

If you ordered your copy of the band’s orange-coloured double vinyl version of their new Mannequin album, from which this song is taken, you may be interested to know that they were packed and sent from one of the band’s addresses in Wokingham.

The album has been released on our White Star Records label and it has certainly gone down well with excellent reviews and enthusiastic reactions from the band’s legion of fans.

Alt-rock, synth wave, prog – whatever genre it gets described as – you can see them live at Reading’s Face Bar on April 23 as part of a UK tour – www.kyrosmusic.com

Tony Moore – Blood and Roses

Tony has had an eclectic career. Among his many experiences, he was in an early incarnation of Iron Maiden and also in the 80s hit band, Cutting Crew.

He has just been on tour supporting his old Iron Maiden bandmate Steve Harris on his British Lion tour and now he has his own tour with a special audio-visual experience in support of his forthcoming Awake album.

This includes a show at Wokingham Music Club on February 23.

We spoke to Tony at the Radio Wigwam Awards where he was MC for the night. He said he was looking forward to coming to play in Wokingham. We are certainly looking forward to that too.

The song here is a single from late 2023 – www.awakemusic.info

Songer – Toxic (Freestyle)

It’s wonderful when an artist from the local area makes the Official Singles Chart and even more so when it’s in a genre usually dominated by US or London artists.

Songer grew up writing lyrics and rapping in his bedroom in Wokingham and now his inventive interpretation of a Britney Spears classic is fast climbing the charts.

As I write it has made the Top 30 and will hopefully rise further. It certainly deserves to as Songer looks set to achieve well-deserved international success – www.instagram.com/5onger

Jo Jo & The Teeth – No More Good News

At the recent show by punk legends, Eater, second on the bill were Jo Jo & The Teeth, a band with members from Canada and the Isle of Wight who performed an exciting energetic set – www.jojoandtheteeth.com

Sonic Whip – Spinning Around

An exciting young band from the Netherlands who played an excellent performance at the Radio Wigwam Awards – www.sonicwhipband.com

Ghost of the Machine – Mercury Rising (Parts I and II)

A Yorkshire band who will be at the Spriggan Mist Couch show in Bracknell on February 17 – ghostofthemachineofficial.com/

Our Fate – Broken

An emotional rock ballad song from the Reading band’s Reflections of My Past album. They performed a great gig at Reading Face Bar – linktr.ee/ourfateuk

Tom Webber – This Time

Here’s a new single from an extremely talented artist who performed a great show at Rising Sun Arts Centre last week – lnk.to/tomwebber#

Aden Pearce – Ghosts

Aden is an artist in Bristol, who originally came from Reading and this single also features Kate from Dakorra – www.facebook.com/adenpearcemusic

Aaron Cilia – Baguazhang

Aaron is a local musician, songwriter, producer and sound engineer and this is his latest single – www.facebook.com/AaronCiliaArtist
