The Rotary Club of Easthampstead’s fourth Bracknell Together Walk, which took place in and around South Hill Park on July 9, has raised more than £3,000 for charities in Bracknell and Wokingham.
The event is a fun walk for people of all ages and abilities with three different routes that start and finish at the South Hill Park mansion.
Peter Boltwood, president of the Rotary Club of Easthampstead, said: “We are delighted that once again the Bracknell Together Walk has given local charities an opportunity to raise much-needed funds and have a fun time doing it.
“Twelve groups took part and thoroughly enjoyed their day. We are indebted to the continuing support of our sponsors, The Village Hotel, Duncan Yeardley Estate Agents and Peas and Carrots caterers, who make the event happen.
“The Bracknell Together Walk is now an established event on the local calendar. We look forward to more groups from Bracknell and Wokingham joining us next year when we promise to make the 2024 event the best yet.”
Easthampstead Rotarians are a group of 40-odd (and not-so-odd) men and women from Bracknell, Wokingham and local villages who have fun together and support local and international projects helping others.
