The Wokingham Paper is delighted to announce that Reading FC Women midfielder Lois Roche has joined our sport team to write as a guest columnist.
Following Royals historic promotion to the top flight of the Women’s Super League, the club’s fanbase continues to grow and Roche will be keeping fans up-to-date on the goings on at the club during the campaign.
One of the longer serving members of Kelly Chambers’ squad, Roche, 22, joined Reading four years ago from Watford having previously been through Arsenal’s youth academy.
Roche, a Republic of Ireland youth international, worked as a sports journalist before quitting her job to sign a full-time playing contract at the start of this current season.
The midfielder will make her debut as a columnist in this week’s Wokingham Paper, which is available to buy from tomorrow (Friday) morning, where she discusses among other things last week’s Birmingham draw, the WSL season so far and also a personal injury update.
Reading Women are currently enjoying a mid-season break, not returning to action until early in July.
