Wokingham town centre has welcomed a new restaurant with the opening of Ranga Lounge in Denmark Street.
A spokesperson for the business told Wokingham Today: “ After 29 wonderful years serving authentic Bangladeshi and Indian cuisine to the local community from our home on Reading Road in Winnersh, we have said goodbye to that location – but not to our customers.
“We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve moved into a new home in the heart of Wokingham, with Ranga Lounge.”
The opening ceremony was performed by MP Clive Jones.
He told Wokingham Today: “I was thrilled to be invited to Ranga Lounge’s grand opening, and to welcome Wokingham’s newest Indian and Bangladeshi restaurant to our community.
“It’s local businesses like Ranga Lounge that are the backbone of Wokingham, and I was delighted to welcome yet another asset to our thriving high-streets.”
The town is set to see another opening in the coming months with signage indicating Sushi Point is set to open in Broad Street.
