A CHARITY based in Twyford is offering specialist training for healthcare professionals.
Understanding Dementia will be running a course for people who work with dementia patients. The nine-week programme will be taught online, beginning later this month. The date is yet to be confirmed.
The hour-long interactive sessions will be on Wednesday evenings. The charity also hopes to offer a daytime option.
Participants will learn how to work positively with dementia, de-escalate distressed behaviour, and promote wellbeing.
It costs £175, including online sessions, an accompanying booklet and a certificate.
Those who complete the course will be invited to join an online community of professionals for ongoing discussion and support.
