Fayre goers enjoyed their annual treat of munching mince pies and sipping mulled wine as they strolled down the middle of their usually traffic-filled main street, writes Sue Corcoran.

London Road in the centre of Twyford was closed for hundreds of villagers to take part in their 17th Christmas street fayre.
Twyford Together Christmas Fayre Committee chair Stephen Conway said at the event last Friday: “The fayre’s a real success. It’s one of Twyford’s great events which brings together the whole village, young and old, in a really exciting street fayre.
“We’re delighted with the turn out. Lots of local charities and good causes are among those running stalls.”
Youngsters enjoyed a mobile climbing wall and meeting the reindeer from Riverways Farm, Twyford. Maidenhead and Windsor Concert Band played Christmas carols and songs.
