A CELEBRATION of the Ukrainian New Year – known as Malanka – is coming to Reading later this month.
Members of the Reading Ukrainian Community Centre are organising the party, which will take place in its Sidmouth Street venue from 5pm on Saturday, January 13.
There will be carols, karaoke, and fun and laughter. Organisers hope people will bring an instrument for a Ukrainian sing-song.
Food and drinks will be available to purchase on the night.
The venue also holds a weekly coffee morning on Wednesdays for refugees and their hosts. Light refreshments are available at the event which runs from 11am to 2pm.
