ON SATURDAY, we’ll get our first glimpse of Debbie McGee in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
We can’t wait.
At 7pm, the nation will tune in to see the celebrities taking part in this year’s contest take part in a special group dance. There will also be a tribute to the late Sir Bruce Forsyth.
There’s no voting this week, but we can’t wait for the contest proper to start – and we’ll be rooting for Debbie, who lives in Wargrave, to win the show.
While she’s known, with much fondness, for her role assisting husband Paul Daniels in his magic act, Debbie is an accomplished broadcaster in her own right: her show on Radio Berkshire brightens Sunday mornings while you’ll also find her popping up on numerous TV programmes, always with a smile on her face.
So we’re delighted that once again she will be brightening up our Saturday night, just as she did when Paul Daniels’ Magic Show was one of the top rated programmes back in the 1980s.
Keep dancing Debbie … and we’ll keep voting!
