The California Toddler Group meets on Tuesday mornings, term-time only, at the Ratepayers Hall in Finchampstead.
We are looking for a volunteer to help between 9am and 11.45am, making tea and coffee and cleaning away.
The toddler group is attended by friendly parents, childminders and children. Please get in touch if you are interested.
Do you enjoy being outside and enjoying nature? Would you like to learn about conservation? Would you like to exercise without joining a gym?
Why not get involved with conservation work in our local woodland, Fox Hill woods on the edge of Woosehill.
Friends of Fox Hill is a community group with the aim of encouraging our local community to enjoy the woods and learn to appreciate the trees, plants, and wildlife.
Our Conservation Group meets one Sunday morning each month.
Activities include removal of rhododendron, coppicing, ditch clearing, litter picking, path restoration, tree and bulb planting.
Everyone is welcome, however children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Promise Inclusion is a local, independent and user-led charity supporting children and adults with learning disabilities and/or autism, their carers and families within the Boroughs of Wokingham and Bracknell Forest.
We provide support through a Family Liaison Service; activities for carers; siblings support groups; a Youth Group; social groups for adults to enable them to make friends and reduce their social isolation and a Life Skills programme called Gateway.
We currently need more volunteers for our following groups; Our Karaoke group meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month from 7.30pm-9pm in the Rose Room of the Bradbury Centre.
It is a fun group for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism.
We also need more support at our Gateway group which runs on a Thursday morning from 9.30am-1.30pm here at the Hub.
Our other two groups in Wokingham are: The Acorn – a social group for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism which meets on Tuesday evenings from 7pm-9pm at The Acorn Community Centre in Woosehill and Youth Club @ Addington, a youth club for teenagers with learning disabilities and/or autism that meets on Wednesday evenings (term-time only) from 7pm-9pm at Addington School, Woodley and we always welcome more help at these.
