Jenny Cheng, Conservatives
First elected to Woodley Town Council in 2007, I’m experienced in responding to issues raised by local people. I want to work with Cllr Laura Blumenthal as Borough councillor and ensure South Lake residents get good quality council services.
My face may look familiar as I have served as Woodley Town Mayor for the last two years. I’m passionate about improving our town and delighted by the amazing plans to redevelop Bulmershe Leisure Centre to offer high quality facilities that we deserve.
We share the same concerns, especially about improving our bus service and protecting green spaces from further development. The Highwood and the South Lake are beautiful environments that we must cherish so everybody can enjoy their tranquillity.

Beth Rowland, Liberal Democrats
Beth is an experienced councillor who has represented South Lake for many years.
As well as being a borough councillor she has been heavily involved in setting up and running the local credit union.
She has been a long-serving school governor in Woodley, and has been a strong campaigner for improvements to education.

Tony Skuse, Labour
Tony has lived in the Borough since 1980. He retired from British Airways in 2006 after 34 years as an airline pilot.
He was a Governor of The Royal Berks Hospital for six years.
Tony was very active in Labour’s campaign in support of residents’ desire to have a public toilet in Woodley precinct and spent much time collecting signatures for the toilet petition.
He is married with three children and five grandchildren and is looking forward to the opportunity to serve the local community.
