A WOKINGHAM town centre pub is celebrating after scooping a top honour from fans of real ale.
Members of the Berkshire South East Branch of CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) have presented the award of Cider Pub of the Year to The Crispin in Denmark Street.
Judges said: “A worthy winner is The Crispin Wokingham, who can be relied upon to have a good selection of real cider available in the cellar.
“Forget fizzy, ersatz drinks which have not seen an apple, these ciders are mouth-wateringly good.”

The Pub of the Year award went to The Old Manor in Bracknell, which was praised for “consistently serving excellent beers in a convivial atmosphere”.
A very close runner-up for this category was The Wheelwrights Arms in Hurst.
Two awards were given for the Ascot Beer Festival, held annually in Ascot Racecourse.
Visitors were able to decide on their favourite drinks and chose West Berkshire Brewery’s Maggs Magnificent Mild as beer of the festival, while Crazy Dave’s Berkshire Medium Cider scooped the cider award.
It was the first award received by this enthusiastic new cider producer.
