CALLING all those looking for a New Year’s resolution to enjoy and stick with all year round.
Local groups and charities are looking for volunteers.
Their representatives will be available to chat with people interested in donating a few hours of their time, at a volunteer fair in Wokingham.
Volunteering is a great way to give back to the community while gaining much in return.
Opportunities can fit around people’s working day – for example, a befriending phone call can take as little as 20 minutes.
Whether people want to gain new skills, get fresh air and exercise, build confidence, meet new people, enhance their CV, support a cause they believe in or simply try something different, volunteering can tick all these boxes and more.
No appointment is need to join Wokingham’s next Volunteer Fair, and people can just turn up.
The event takes place in Wokingham Town Hall, on Saturday, February 1, from 10am until 1pm.
