I’m sure you’ve all been enjoying the glut of Bank Holiday long weekends recently, but with another one right on the horizon, it can be tough to know quite what to do. Well, the good folk at local Craft Beer Brewery, Siren Craft Brew, have you sorted with a free to attend, family-friendly bash at their Tap Yard.
If you’re not yet aware of Siren Craft Brew, then you’re in for a treat – you have a world top 100, award winning brewery right on your doorstep. As well as offering Brewery Tours, their Finchampstead site has a lively Tap Yard for drinking brewery fresh beer on site, right from the source.
Throughout the week, alongside incredible beer they offer a great menu of tasty treats, such as hand-stretched sourdough pizza and loaded fries. There’s also regular events such as bi-monthly Quiz Nights and a popular dog walking club, the 2nd Sunday of each month.
On Fridays and Saturdays, you can find a host of amazing local street food vendors setting up – from burgers and mexican to bbq and asian fusion. You’ll find it all.
The brewery itself is not only one of the most highly regarded in the world, they have a prolific output too. From their regularly available range of beers, available all year round, to seasonal and one off specials, and their Barrel Ageing project – the brewery releases over 100 unique beers each year. There truly is something for everyone.
The team at their Tap Yard have been putting on Bank Holiday fun for all the family to enjoy for some time now, and we can’t recommend it highly enough! From the looks of it, the late May bank holiday is set to be another great time.
The weekend starts early on Friday 26th. Siren has a regular flow of Friday Street Food Vendors and from 12pm Crumpy’s Smoke Shack will be serving up some beautiful BBQ food – a perfect accompaniment to beer.
On the Saturday, the weekend kicks off properly with not one, but two amazing street food vendors – Crumpy’s Smoke Shack and Tacitos, who make awesome Mexican food. We’re told there will also be some sweet treats.
On the Sunday, you’ll find Fat Tabby Catering, Dirty Snax, Unholy Donuts and Gorilla Bakes. And with the weekend still not over, Monday’s line up is Fat Tabby and Flour Power.
Across the weekend, there will also be plenty of entertainment for the little ones, such as a Bouncy Castle and free Face Painting.
Whilst Siren definitely has a beer to suit everyone’s needs (including some amazing Gluten Free options), the bar also stocks some great wines, local spirits and soft drinks.
With no ticket needed to attend, and something for everyone to enjoy – we highly recommend popping along. You can even check out their nearby country pub, The George & Dragon, found just a few miles away from the brewery.
