Organisers of Wokingham’s Winter Carnival are hoping that the town’s force awakens to help reunite a boy with his Star Wars lunchbox.
During yesterday’s extremely busy event, which saw thousands of people descend on Wokingham town centre for a day of festive merriment and entertainment, George left his treasured possession behind.
Now, Wokingham Town Council has launched an intergalactic mission to find George before his lunch bag meets forces even greater than Darth Vader … the lost property box.
Cllr Philip Mirfin said: “As we were clearing Broad Street last evening, one of the fairground people handed a small Star Wars lunch bag in that had been lost in the afternoon.
“The boy’s name is George, and we also have his surname but no address on the bag, inside there is another small bag and various items.
“George, please can you call in at the Town Council Information Centre to identify yourself and claim it?”
The bag is being held safely with the Alliance forces in Wokingham Town Hall’s information centre. No light sabre battles will be needed to claim the bag: just some form of identity.
Now, people of Wokingham, we need your help to use the force and reunite George with his lunch box.
