WOKINGHAM DISTRICT U11s boys finished with an unbeaten record from the Jersey Primary Football Festival for a third consecutive year.
Wokingham saw their U11s District Team return to the 45th Annual Jersey Primary Football Festival for 2019 over the Easter Break.
About 285 children, parents and coaches alike gathered at the FB Fields to kick off the festival on Sunday morning, this year’s crop of Wokingham’s rising stars trained very hard as they faced some of the highly talented teams visiting the island.
Wokingham fought hard to open the event with a 4-0 win against St Albans before adding an impressive win on day two with a 1-0 victory against Orpington.
Continuing the momentum they had built in the first two days, Wokingham recorded another 1-0 win against hosts Jersey. They then faced a difficult test but came through with a determined 2-1 triumph against Gloucester before finishing the event on day five with a 2-0 win against Thurrock to end with an unbeaten record having remarkably only conceded one goal in five matches.
Wokingham look to continue their fantastic form when they face Gloucester on Saturday in the Southern Counties Cup Final.
