The name of an upcoming care home that replaces a Catholic church in Bracknell has been selected.
The 72-bed care home is set to be built in Ringmead and will be called ‘Berkshire Manor’.
Elsewhere, a new look for a Bracknell car dealership has been given the go-ahead, and a beautician in Wokingham is set for a rebrand.

The company that is building a 72-bed care home in Ringmead has named it ‘Berkshire Manor’.
The large new facility will be built on the grounds of the St Margaret Clitherow Catholic Church, which was demolished in 2012.
Oakland Care has won permission to install a totem V-board advertising the care home.
The board will say ‘live, love and be loved’ along with a website and phone number.
Used car dealership changes approved (Bracknell app 25/00385/FUL)
The Stratstone used cars dealership is due to host fellow dealer Jardine Motors Group, which sells McLaren cars.
The incorporation of the dealers onto the site involves refurbishing the existing facilities to include two new brands within an existing motor retail unit, along with new additional site security features and changes to customer and display parking.
The dealership is situated off London Road, opposite The Royal Oak in the Bullbrook area.
No objections were raised to the plan, which was approved by Bracknell Forest Council’s planning department on Wednesday, September 3.
New beauty salon coming to town centre (Wokingham app 251968)
A beauty salon in Wokingham town centre is set to be taken over by a new company.
The Permanent Beauty salon in Rose Street is set to be renamed ‘Continuous Beauty’.
The project involves new non-illuminated signage with phone number details.
Permanent Beauty recently moved to a brand new purpose-built cabin situated in King Street Lane, Winnersh.
Plan for four homes in town suburb (Wokingham app 251892)
A developer has applied to build four new semi-detached homes off Whitley Wood Road, Reading.
The project involves building two semi-detached blocks containing four three-bed homes on vacant land in Mitford Close, which falls under Shinfield Parish in Wokingham Borough.
Each home would come with a separate kitchen, a living room and a toilet on the ground floor, with two bedrooms on the first floor and a third ensuite bedroom at roof level.
Each home would come with one parking space, with two homes having garages and two having outdoor spaces.
