Buckler’s Park plans changed (Bracknell app 25/00234/NMA)
The development company Cala Homes has won permission to make changes to the location of cycle storage for its project to build 63 homes in Crowthorne.
Cala will build the homes for Phase 4B of the Buckler’s Park development, which is situated off Old Wokingham Road and will be bound by a green link.
This phase will provide four five-bedroom, 14 four-bedroom, 23 three-bedroom and 14 two-bedroom houses once complete.
Changes were made to provide 12 cycle parking spaces in a storage hut for plots 27-32 of the upcoming homes.
Creation of two homes from barn in rural location (Bracknell app 25/00512/PAA)
An applicant has won permission to turn a barn at a rural location north of Bracknell into a three-bed and a one-bed home.
The agricultural barn is situated in Church Lane, Warfield, and is surrounded by fields.
The developer has won consent for extensions to turn the barn into two homes, with three parking spaces being provided.
The change of use of the barn was granted under permitted development rights that allow the conversion of commercial properties into homes.
Plan for 16 homes in Barkham torpedeoed (Wokingham app 251486)
A plan to build 16 homes at the junction of Edneys Hill and Barkham Road has been rejected.
The development would have provided eight three-bedroom homes, two two-bed homes and six one-bed flats.
But Wokingham council judged the project to be harmful to the countryside.
They also ruled that the site is not sustainable for residential development due to its poor access to day-to-day facilities and amenities, including areas of public open space, and lack of accessible bus services.
Swimming pool for grand house rejected (Wokingham app 240273)
A plan for a new swimming pool in the grounds of a grand house east of the River Thames has been rejected.
The owner of Hennerton House between Wargrave and Henley had applied to create an enclosed swimming pool on a slope near the main house.
While Wokingham council’s planning department determined that the pool installation was acceptable in principle, the applicant was unable to complete a section 106 legal agreement with the council.
The refusal mentions has been advised that the mortgage companies are unwilling to sign this.
