A DOZEN real ales, perfect sunshine and a beer garden were a popular combination for a Wokingham town centre pub over the weekend.
The Broad Street Tavern was packed with customers looking to enjoy some tipples they’d not usually get to try.
Real ales included a Cornish Knocker from Skinners Brewery, Wild Weather’s Full of Beans and the Dancing Duck’s Back, Sack and Quack.
Landlady Lily Collier also organised some live music for people to enjoy over the course of the weekend and the local CAMRA branch popped in on Saturday for some tastings.

Now the pub is preparing for Saturday’s International Street Concert.
Ms Collier said: “We will have a bar available at the front of the pub serving wine, soft drinks and draft cider and lager. A takeaway food menu will also be available.”
It’s not the only event coming up. On Saturday, June 8, the pub will be holding a DJ night with a difference as each of the seven DJs will be going old school and using vinyl records rather than CDs or an iPod to create their music.
“We’ll have music from the team playing back-to-vack from 3pm through to 2am,” Ms Collier promised.
The retro theme will continue with an 80s night on June 14 and a 70s funk night on August 16, while an ever-popular cider festival will be returning during the summer.
