A GROUP that meets in Wokingham to discuss all things literary will hear some literary favourites.
Christopher Carter, Eileen Davis, Pat Vokes will each share their love of a special author or character: Barbara Pym writer of social comedies; the character of Becky Sharp, main protagonist of William Makepeace Thackeray’s Vanity Fair; and British author Joanne Harris, best known for her novel Chocolat.
The society meets in the Lecture Room at Wokingham Baptist Church, usually on the third Thursday of the month from September to May.
Special interest groups, social events, and Zoom sessions also take place monthly, and new members and visitors are always welcome.
Their October meeting is at the Baptist Church, on Thursday, November 21, from 7.30pm until 9.30pm.
