AS WOMEN of all ages go Back to Netball, the newly-formed club is hosting a mixed-gender charity tournament.
Netball coach, Jessica Terrill has been coaching Back to Netball for Wokingham Netball Club since the summer.
She said: “We started with only six members back in June, but now have roughly 40 ladies who play weekly.
“Since the netball world cup in Liverpool, people who haven’t played in years are getting back into the sport.
“The ladies at the club wanted to show their partners, fathers, brothers, and sons what they get up to, so we’re organising a mixed charity netball tournament.”
The tournament will take place on Sunday, December 1 at Luckley House School, with eight teams competing against each other.
Ms Terrill said: “We are aiming to raise several hundred pounds for a children’s hospice”.
The team is currently on the lookout for local businesses who can help by donating some raffle prizes.
She added: “Our ethos is all about providing a sociable atmosphere for the ladies who join.”
