A WOMEN was threatened with a knife when she confronted burglars in her Woodley home on Monday.
The thief attempted to take a bracelet from her wrist and stole a number of designer handbags as he fled.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
The incident took place around 12.15am on Monday (Sunday night into Monday morning), September 16, at the victim’s home in Rickman Close.
Thames Valley Police said that she was returning to her home when she found the man inside.
The man threatened the victim with a knife and attempted to grab a bracelet from her wrist.
The victim ran away from the offender, who then fled the scene with the handbags.
He is described as being approximately 5ft 8ins tall who was wearing a black hooded top.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Maggie Bruce, based at Reading police station, said: “This was a frightening ordeal for the victim, thankfully she wasn’t seriously injured.
“I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident to please get in touch.
