THE driver of a vehicle which struck a house in Wokingham earlier this week has been charged after failing to take a breath test.
Lorriane Bennett has been charged by Thames Valley Police with one count of failing to provide a specimen of breath following an incident in Budge’s Road in the Norreys Estate at approximately 11pm on Tuesday, November 10.
As a result of this, the 33-year-old, of Dart Close, Finchampstead, is due to appear before Reading Magistrates on Wednesday, November 25.
Neither the driver of the car involved, believed to be a Peugeot, or the occupant of the house were seriously injured when the car left the road and hit the property, but both were treated by ambulance staff at the scene for shock.
There also was no significant damage to the house, apart from a minor issue with a drainpipe.
When leaving the highway the car is said to have also struck two other stationary vehicles, which are both understood to have been written off.
