WOKINGHAM Lions Club has been donating book sets to local schools during the past year.
Wild Tribe Heroes, written by Ellie Jackson, is a series of stories aimed at primary school aged children, and which ties in well with the national curriculum’s environmental education aims.
Great stories in their own right, the books contain a powerful message delivered in a gentle way.
The Lions have been donating sets to primary and junior schools in the borough.
Those that have already taken advantage of the scheme are: Floreat’s Montague Park, Wheatfield, Windmill, Westende, Bearwood, The Hawthorns, St Paul’s, The Coombs, Oaklands and Holme Grange School.
Wokingham Lions Club would love more young people to be able to read Wild Tribe Heroes books.
They ask anyone involved with education, who is interested in receiving a book set donation for their local school, to contact them.
