The Met Office has issued its infamous yellow snow warning for this weekend.
However, anyone hoping to spend their Saturday sledging will be disappointed – although the south east has a snow and ice alert, the forecast for Wokingham is mostly dry.
The conditions mean that there could be widespread black ice on roads and pavements, creating hazardous conditions.
Forecasters are predicting that a mixture of rain, sleet and snow will hit the south east on Friday afternoon through to the early hours of Saturday.
The Met Office says that snow will mainly fall on higher ground, and up to an inch could fall. But at lower levels, it is expected that the snow will be rain or sleet, with occasional snow showers.
