YOBS who threw stones and logs at cars in Lower Earley are being sought by police.
The incident happened around 2.45pm on Friday, May 31 – the last day of half-term – on Rushey Way between the junction of Ryhill Way and Beeston Way.
The youngsters involved are thought to be aged between 11 and 15, and all boys.
Thames Valley Police said a number of cars were damaged in the incident, with some declared unroadworthy.
No one was hurt, but officers warned it could have been a different story, and such behaviour cannot be tolerated.
The force is now appealing for anyone with dashcam, doorbell or CCTV footage, or information that could help their investigation, to come forward.
A spokesperson said: “It has been reported that cars were being targeted with stones and logs, resulting in damage to vehicles and disruption to livelihoods as vehicles were taken off the road. Thankfully no one was hurt on this occasion however the consequences of these actions could have been a lot worse and will not be tolerated.
“We are appealing for footage from passing vehicles in order to help with the identification of the individuals involved, described as males aged 11-15 years old.
