The Feel Good Community CIC was set up to remove the stigma linked to mental health.
Since its inception we have been providing support for those affected by mental health, specifically those from disproportionately disadvantaged communities such as the black and other ethnic minority groups.
We offer a holistic approach to mental wellbeing by targeting mind, body and soul.
This approach has allowed us to reach the root cause and tackle it from the ground up.
We will now be running our Let’s Talk project as part of our Wellbeing Programme.
This project aims to open the dialogue for conversations surrounding daily struggles that have an impact on mental health.
One-to-one and group sessions will be available depending on need and we will also encourage community cohesion and building relationships with community members to reduce social exclusion.
This will be taking place in Shinfield.
Building for the Future, Our House, Wokingham’s accessible play centre for children with disabilities, is looking for kind, caring and committed volunteers. We have roles within our fundraising, marketing and the following play schemes ready for keen volunteers.
We are looking for volunteers to help at various groups we run from Our House in Wokingham. These include; Ladybirds (under fives) on Fridays from 9.30am-11.30am. Approx two per month. Saturday clubs 11am-1pm (quiet session) and 3-5pm (active session) – we run two clubs on two Saturdays per month.
We also run Holiday clubs on varying days and times during school holidays all year round.
Our House is a unique and accessible play centre for children with any disability. These are not respite sessions as parents are always in the building, but a willingness to play and ensure the children have the most fun they can have is vital.
Please contact us even if you can only commit to one session a month.
Coming on board with us will be very enjoyable and rewarding.
