A 20-year-old man has died after a fatal traffic collision in Winnersh, Thames Valley Police has confirmed.
At around 10pm on Wednesday, April 16, a dark green Land Rover discovery lost control in Winnersh Triangle park and ride car park, Wharferdale Road where a man in his 20s was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been notified and are being supported by specialist officers.
A 20-year-old man from Barnet has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remains in custody.
Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Darren Brown, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This appears to have been a single vehicle collision, and very sadly, a man has died.
“Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man at this extremely upsetting time.
“I am appealing to anybody who may have witnessed this collision, or seen the Land Rover Discovery prior to the incident, to please come forward.
“I would be particularly keen to hear from anyone who was driving in the area and have dash-cameras to please check for any footage which may assist this investigation.
