A 20-YEAR-OLD man has pleaded guilty to stealing bikes.
At a hearing at Reading Magistrates Court on Friday, July 14, Blake Atkinson, from Greys Court in Wokingham, admitted four counts of bike theft and one count of theft from a shop.
The incidents took place in Wokingham between Friday, May 19, and Sunday, July 2.
He will be sentenced on Wednesday, August 16.
Investigating officer Sergeant Paul Bentley, based at Wokingham police station, said: “We are aware of an increase in bike thefts in and around the Wokingham town centre.
“This result shows our commitment to tackling the issue and we will continue to work with Wokingham Borough Council and partnership agencies to tackle the issue and offer crime prevention advice and bike marking.”
