A HEALTH organisation in Reading has recently announced that 2025 was its busiest year ever.
Registered charity Berkshire MS Therapy Centre, off Oxford Road in Reading, provides specialised therapies and a social space for people with MS across Berkshire and the surrounding areas.
In 2025 it delivered 15,522 treatments in total, surpassing 15,000 treatments in a single year for the first time.
Physiotherapy was its busiest therapy, accounting for 59% of all treatments.
This included online classes, in-person group sessions and one-to-one appointments.
Oxygen therapy was the second-largest service, with 4,021 appointments delivered — 26% of all treatments.
In total, 421 people with MS or their loved ones attended for treatment.
MS is a neurological condition for which there is no cure, but the therapies it offers improve quality of life.
Centre manager Pippa Vincent-Cooke said: “We are thrilled to have been able to support so many people with MS and their loved ones throughout 2025.
“We’d like to thank all our volunteers, supporters and fundraisers for making this happen.
“We know the therapies and treatments we offer are hugely beneficial to our members.
“Many charities are experiencing financial pressures at the moment, and we are expecting another busy year.
“We would appreciate as much support as possible to help us carry on our important work.”
The centre receives no NHS funding, and relies on fundraising to provide its services.
