CHARITY shops across Wokingham Borough are welcoming unopened toiletries, homewares, books and good quality clothing.
The British Heart Foundation offers furniture and electrical collections in many areas of the borough.
The council has advised people to check each charity’s acceptance list and opening times before travelling.
If a product is faulty, people are advised to use the retailer’s returns process first, as repair or replacement may be possible.
Thoughtful donating, says the council, keeps items in use and helps to support local causes.
There is also the option to use the Anglo Doorstep Collections service to arrange a collection from people’s front doors.
